I'm in Jackson Mississippi, of all places, until next June. I'm 38 years old, was terribly shy in high school. I've since overcome the shyness, but feel like I've missed out on a lifetime of opportunities. I have the fortune of looking very young for my age.

Since being here I was kind of seduced by a girl, who had a long-distance boyfriend. It has been great, but lately she's been getting stressed, busy, and maybe sensing that I've got nothing else going on socially.

My main two problems are - guilt and making friends with other guys to go out with. I used to have this trigger sense of envy, jealousy, disdain and dislike for guys who get girls. I've come to terms with both, and now just looking back into this because I know that there is no future with the girl I'm currently seeing.

I'm not good with the lingo, but I'll learn it. Thanks!
