I'm a soldier who was raised really sheltered and poorly socialized. I have been gradually training myself to overcome this deficiency, but it's sadly difficult with women. I'm having a friend, who is a bit of a natural, help me, but the problem is that he doesn't understand why the stuff he does works, so I can't learn much that's practical. His favorite advice is to "stop thinking"... I've been single for a year, and my last relationship started online.

I'm hoping to learn to pick up women the right way, and I need to learn how to do it with my brain, rather than weird hijinks.
