I'm a 17 year old guy who has always sucked with girls. Been friend zoned multiple times and I want to change myself. I'm average looking and nothing special. Could anyone point me in the right direction where to start?

Let me tell you a bit more about why I'm here. I've spoken to loads of girls in my life and have been friendzoned by all of them. I've only ever kissed one girl and she was drunk out of her face. I'm not bad looking and I have quite a lot of hobbies etc however I tend to freeze up a bit when 1v1 with a girl. The latest girl I've begun talking to again was a friend of mine during school. I lost contact with her for a year and messaged her etc. Got her number and she came around my house with her friends (I know them as well). We smoke weed and drink and I think she was showing interest (laying on my chest and extended hug at the hips at the end). I then invite her around again the following week. This time it doesn't go too well. We sat downstairs talking and smoking weed and then she left. No contact at all. I feel like I've been friend zoned again. My major problem is escalation and I fear rejection.
