Hello, everyone. So a lil background about me. Last year, I got out of a pretty serious relationship with my ex(3 years). I was hung up on her for a while after dumping her but this semester, I decided I was fully ready to get back into the swing of things and start gaming on girls again. Only problem? Well, I'm a bit rusty and inexperienced because I dated my ex for such a long time.

So I'll jump right into things with a situation I could use some advise on.
Now I've been trying to talk to a few girls but I'm most interested in this one girl "Em" who I have chem with.
Basically, we have class together, she sits next to me and we tend to spend the class chatting I think she likes me because I occasionally catch her blatantly staring at me or checking out what I'm up to. She seems to like to doodle on my arm/notebook random smiley faces and shes a bit of an adhd nerd.

So, Thursday I was with my other friend "Solo" who is one of my best female friends. Carnival was in town for the weekend and we decide to go out of boredom. So I decided, why not? and invited Em with us. Well, turns out that she still lives at home- her dad is super old school so she had to ask for permission and it ended up being a "no". When I called her later to tell her a story about the dubious tilt-a whirl I went on. After I told her the story, she said that she wished she coulda gone because she was really excited about it.

Anyways, I'm stuck in an awkward situation because I feel that the iron is hot and I should ask her out but I also need her because shes in my study group.

Would someone please share some words of wisdom with me? I've been actively talking to other girls but this one seems the most promising prospect so far
