Hello, my name is Nino. I guess this is the first thing to do if you'd like to change. Because I too am facing the very same problem as a lot of men: seducing girls. I've got to say, I belong to the big newb-part of this forum. I am actually afraid of going over to girls, tap them on the shoulder and say: 'Hi, my name is Nino, how are ya?'. It seems to me that i've got a lot of issues that I'll have to work on, beginning by viewing myself differently, as a person that is. I'm hoping to learn a lot from you guys, as well as getting motivation to really turn my life around. They say it aint easy, but you need to start somewhere, and for me this is it. I will be spending several hours on this forum, you can be sure of that. If anyone has got some advice for me, it would be greatly appreciated. I'm looking forward to this! Thanks for reading.

Nice to meet you and welcome to the community. I'm new at this, too, so maybe we can help each other out. In my opinion it helps to know that you have a friend with some of the same goals. I have the same problem: I am very shy about approaching girls. I have been starting to improve, though. Here are some of the things I do:

I ask myself "Am I more afraid of rejection or more afraid of regret?" The rejection doesn't really bother me but I hate the regret. If I see a girl that I want to approach and I don't do it, I beat myself up about it later. So that question helps me convince myself to try.

A good warm up that I was told about is the Newbie Challenge. This just means when you go somewhere, say "hi" to all kinds of people that you see. Whether it's a guy or a girl, just a simple hi as you walk past them.

Another thing that I do is put myself in awkward situations. Like I said, I'm not a afraid of rejection. I am, however, afraid of awkward situations. "Expose yourself to your deepest fear. After that, fear has no power." So I start simple and just high-five random strangers when I'm out. After a while I start stopping in front of strangers with my arms held out, waiting for them to hug me (very awkward). After a while the awkwardness stops bothering me and I'll go up to random girls and grab their hand and walk with them. Or attempt to at least lol. Again, very awkward. It helps me just start having fun instead of taking it all so seriously. After all that I'm usually fine for walking up to a girl and talking to her.
