| Hello, I am a newcomer and previous to discovering this scene, I was reading a book called Self-love by Rousseau (Amour Propre). I feel that these are linked, let me elaborate.
People want validation on whether they are really what they think of themselves to be.
By you not giving them that validation, you are cramping their style.
All along, guys have been giving constant attention to attractive women, molding their self-image.
I think this is the foundation of pick up.
Breaking that mould, and realizing that their insecurities are laid bare to you, and you hold the
upper hand, the one with the power to decide their self-image.
These will make them desperate. All women need social-validation, an anomaly like yourself will disrupt this whole affair and make them seek for harmony of their self-image.
I am not one who has thoroughly done research or studied this, but I feel there is a strong connection between the philosophical ideas of Rosseau's Self-Love and the art of Pick-up. I am still a newbie in this but I am trying to make sense of all these new material to be able to absorb them faster. I believe that the ideas I have written are somewhat fundamentals. Please tell me if I am wrong, I am still learning. My goal in learning the art of Pick-up is not to bed different girls every night, but rather to embark on a journey towards understanding women and attain social skills and intuition that will enrich me with new experiences. Meeting beautiful women of course will be an added perk that I will surely enjoy. The art of Pick-up is an incredible new development of sociology that many others have shunned due to the supposed superficial nature to it. After reading a few books( not in great detail ), I understood why there were critcisms of PUAs. However, I hope that I will not mechanize the subtleties of the female psyche but rather appreciate it on a different level. Meeting my physical needs are important, but I believe they should not precede over other areas of my life.
I hope to learn more and more in this forum as well and hopefully mature into a good PUA that will be able to share many ideas to benefit this community. Thank you.
