Evening gents, allow me to thank y'all ahead of time for offering me a bit of advice.

I'd like to introduce myself and offer a bit of background info, as the number one error I've seen newbies, such as myself, make on these boards is that they fail to offer enough information on their situation.

I'm 17 and a Junior in High School. Going off of the general consensus, it's agreed by most that I'm an attractive, adequately clothed, intellectual-type. I used to play a great deal of sports, though my slew of AP/Honors courses has limited my free time to the point where I only have time for Track/X-Country. Also, I've yet to date, as I've really been bogged down. Excuses are mute, though. Let's just say I'm an AFC.

You see, I've had issues with quite a few girls in my HSchool, as the use of a word above 3-syllables tends to confuse alot of the HB8+'s.

Perhaps it's just me, but it seems like all of the Cheerleader-types, or the ones whom I'm attracted to, seem to be blessed with a great physique/face, but unfortunately, there's no brains to be found behind that gorgeous exterior.

I'm not saying that it's impossible to find an articulate, hot-bodied female, but... well, it's difficult, to say the least, and that's what I'm looking for.

Okay, moving onto the general topic at hand:

There's a girl. Yes, *one* girl. As in one-itis. Sigh...

I have no classes with her whatsoever. She's a grade lower than me (sophomore)and, as I've mentioned, a HB9-ish. I do, however, have lunch with her, in addition to crossing her path once in a blue moon.

The girl had been occasionally glancing at me out of the corner of her eye; I've followed up on it, and now we're chatting after school, or at least 'till her bus picks her up.

I can drive, of course, but several of my friends can't, so I'll walk with 'em to the bus stop every now and then. Of course, now that Ali is out there, you can consider me a regular.

As of 2 days of "casual" small-talk (we only have about 10 mins 'till her bus arrives), I've learned that she's doing Track, and coincidentally, so am I! She laughs at obviously terrible jokes, pulls me back into the conversation when I look away, fills awkward silences, etc... but the girl isn't loose, and she's got a bit of a Christian backround. Also, we're talking 16 y.o. here. Perhaps I'm wrong, but she's still a virgin, according to the local grapevine.

So that's where I lie. I'm 2 days into the HB9 Chronicle, and now, I'm presenting this little case to y'all, with hopes of getting a solid opinion/tips.

Please critique me. It's clear by my brief tale that I've been afflicted with "one-itis," in addition to taking things too slowly. I don't want to get stuck in friend zone, but I do find myself attracted to this girl somewhat, and seeing as there's a severe shortage of intelligent, attractive girls at CHS, I'm in a bit of a rut.
