Hey guys, name's Ozymandias, i'm 20 and currently a student at Hull uni.

Last winter i ran into an old school friend i hadn't seen in years. this guy used to be the shyest person i knew, while we were in school, i'm pretty sure the only new people he met in 5 years were ones i'd intoduced him to. When i saw him last november though, he intoduced me to his SMOKING hot new gf. This girl was a 9 easy and seemed really cool to go with it. We all went or a few drinks and while she's in the bathroom my mate turned to me and said "I know exactly what you're thinking. what the hell is she doing with me?" He started to tell me about Style's book, and how it had changed his life, but his gil came back so we had to cut the conversation short. Later that week I met up with him again, and we got talking about pick-up again. This guy told me about the game, Style, and a few basics of pick-up. I've always kinda laughed at the idea of self-help books, and was pretty skeptical that this stuff would work, as he said "on literally any girl". Once i saw this guy at work though, and watched him get 3 girl's numbers in less than 10 minutes, i decided it was worth a little investigation.
I'd never seen myself as shy, i love public speaking and 'adrenaline sports' (snowboarding, mountain biking etc) and really am not he kind of guy you would consider timid, but i'd always had trouble picking up girls (what i now realise was mainly approach anxiety) so i bought a copy of the game and started to read it over christmas break. By the time new years rolled around i felt pretty ready to test some of this stuff out, and ended up having the night of my life on New Years Eve, and getting laid for the first time in far-too-long. Once i'd had my fist success with pick-up. I was hooked. Last 3 months i've been studying youtube seminars from ny PUA I could find, and sarging whenever I had the chance, slowly raising my success rate. Though i'm still an absolute beginner, and find myself being pretty AFCish at times, I definitely fel that even the small ammount of pick up i can practise, has improved my social life ten-fold.
Mainly, I'm on this forum to hone my skills, and really master pick up. I'm still looking for guys in the Hull area to go sarging with, as my friends don't really seem to get pick-up, and i know that my biggest weakness at the moment is not getting enough in-field experience, so i could really use a guru to show me where my technique is failing, or even just someone with a little more experince/success than me. any PUAs in hull who can show me around the decent sarging spots in this town, hit me up.

Other than that, not much to say, except i'm glad i've finally found a PUA forum with lots of UK members, cause it seems like some of the stuff which works wellon American HGs doesn't fare so well over here[/i]

I myself have just got into the game with a similar back ground to you really. I'm also from Hull, was born here and work here full time. I'm outgoing and socially I'm good in situations. But realised now I always played 'the nice guy' and that was the main reason I didn't get as much success as I should have been.

Since I've learnt about the game my success has just rocketed and I'm still very much a beginner. My friend and I found out around the same time and we go out sarging once or twice a week at various venues in Hull like Sugar, Welly (main one) and now that new place Tokyo which I like. I don't know if you're still in Hull or if you're coming back for another year at uni but if you want we could meet up one night as we know no other people in the city who even have a clue what PUA means! Would be interesting for us to discuss it and possibly improve eachothers game from it.
