Met up today and broke up with her on amicable terms.

We got back in touch and I apologised for being short with her and going off in a huff. Things stayed a little hostile for a couple of days as she was 'getting revenge' for me ignoring her for the weekend (which I guess I deserved). Once she started talking to me properly again I asked her what was up and to be honest with me.

She said that she had been to the doctors and her health issues whilst not serious are affecting her heavily day to day. She is also starting a new job in a few weeks so the stress of that and starting the new university year is getting too much. Generally she feels like things have been getting the best of her leaving her with not much left.

It was clear that we both are looking for very different things at the moment, I want something lively and exciting whilst she wants low key and stable. I suggested we go for a walk to clear the air and I told her how I felt and said right now we are better off going our separate ways. She agreed but was adamant that we stay friends and in touch. I hope we can but obviously it isn't always as easy in practice so we'll have to see.

I'm again a single man! Back out to the field once more!
