Hey guys! I'm Cromagnon, I'm a jack of all trades and I live in Reykjavik, Iceland. I discovered the community a couple of months ago after a life of pain, virginity and social laziness. I just recently recovered from severe depression and have suffered all sorts of anxiety disorders throughout my life, including social anxiety and obsessive-compulsive disorder.

As I said, I've been 'gaming' for about two months now and although I haven't gotten laid yet, my confidence and conversation skills are growing stronger by the minute. I've gotten my social life on track, I meet friends regularly now and go to clubs every weekend. It's actually quite scary how my confidence has gone from zero to over 9000 in such a short time just by realizing that I'm a pretty cool guy after all. I'm starting to feel like a social ninja warrior or something like that...

Anyways, my goals are to master this game so that one day I may find the perfect woman and allow myself to be all romantic and stuff.

Cheers,

Cro

Anxiety was and sort of still is my life long ninja worrier challenge. haha I also have mild tourette syndrome. To overcome anxiety is so easy. I HAD TO in highschool so that my ticks would stop, but I ended up in plays and with some pretty attractive artsy girls. Id say I have a grip on it and have an awesome social life. Now its time to get out and make things happen! Anxiety will fade slowly, just force yourself out of your comfort zone more an more.

I have tourette's too, although it hasn't been bothering me for many years. Actually, I began working on all that stuff long before I discovered the PUA community. For example, two years ago I forced myself to teach a music/sound art workshop with people from different parts of Europe, forcing me to speak publicly and in a language other than my own.

Aside from that I've been playing in a band for several years so I'm used to being on stage and performing in front of an audience. The only thing was that this was the only situation I was actually confident in. I was an artist. I performed and then I left. Socializing wasn't really my job (or so I thought). Then my life just started to become more and more miserable. I started doing psychedelic drugs and other stupid shit which eventually forced me to rethink my whole existence.

As you said, overcoming anxiety is easy. Anxiety is so dumb and irrational that it's not even funny. Same with depression. The world is a friendly place. Why should one lay at home wallowing in self-loathing and negativity when one could be out having fun and adventures?
