Really new to this. I had a father who had really defeatist attitude and was angry all the time and took it out on me. I grew up with 0 self confidence but have been trying to change it around. I'm not as interested in playing the field as i am in finding a connection with someone special.

past two months I have been trying to gain some confidence with women, i have approached a number of women, ones that i wasn't even really interested in, just to get over the fear of the approach. while doing this i did get one number but when i called her she had changed her mind and didn't want to see me. I asked her if she wanted to go out on certain date and she said "no I'm good, I'm hanging out with some girlfriends that night" and so I figured she didn't offer an alternative so she was out.

So i tried internet dating. Met one that i wasn't really interested in. She took me back to her place but i really didn't want to start anything with her. wasn't attracted to her.

Then i met this other woman online and we met up at the park, we talked and laughed and I was teasing her a lot she seemed to be enjoying herself. She took me back to her place and made me something to eat. After I ate I had to leave for personal reasons but i had forgotten something at her place so i came back 2 hours later unannounced (no phone on me) and knocked on her door. She opened up the door and smiled and i figured i would play joke on her I said "hey im just here for a booty call" she looked at me and i held her gaze for bit she said "noo" while smiling and closed the door behind her as she stepped out to talk to me in private. I told her that i had really just forgotten my stuff at her place and came to pick it up. She said "You really caught me off guard" and she was literally doubled up with laughter. Anyways i got my stuff and kissed her goodbye (she was still giggling). 2 days later I text her and ask if she would be interested in seeing me again. She said "No, there is a fine line between confidence and arrogance and you are way over that line, it is a huge turn off"
My question is: Does this sound reasonable? She was laughing at my stupid jokes a lot and seemed to always be in a good mood, I thought being funny and arrogant was a good thing? I have reason to believe that it my have been something else but maybe that's just me being paranoid?

Any help would be appreciated I have another date with an investor, denier, realist (as defined by pandoras box). And so far what i have seen/ heard from her she seems like she would make an amazing girlfriend. I don't want to mess it up as fast as i did with the last.

I THINK YOU HAVENT DEMONSTRATED HIGH VALUE TO THESE GIRLS AND YOU HAVNT MADE A CONNECTION TRY TO BE DIFFERENT FROM OTHER GUYS AND REMEBER DONT FELL TO BAD THIS IS A LEARNING EXPERINCE

1) If you aren't attracted to a chick, DON'T go to her place.

2) If you go to a chick's place - escelate and fuck her.

3) Never use "I'm here for a booty call" - it IMMEDIATELY makes you to be the same schmuck every other swinging dick dude can be. Don't put that image in her mind!



Bounce from this and move on. Maybe you can bump into her down the road and then confront her with "You know, you labeled me a while ago, and I'd love to talk about that with you...".
