Hi, I'm new to all this PUA stuff and don't really know where to start. I'm from just outside of Toronto, 31, shy, and haven't had much experience with women. Couple dates here and there that pretty much flaked, that's about it. Like many AFC's, I find it incredibly awkward just to approach a woman.

I'm not totally uncomfortable around them, I don't get particularly nervous on dates, it's more just a feeling of not knowing what to do get anywhere. Oh a hug goodnight then never see you again. This is all made worse by the fact that due to current financial constraint's I live at home. I KNOW that is hurting my game (such as it is).
I try to take the positive lessons from the dates and treat them as learning experiences (there's no such thing as failure only results). But it still sucks not to get anywhere.

I've banged a couple of hookers (err, escorts) and it wasn't as awkward as I thought it would be, in fact it was rather fun. But I want more than that.

I also only have a small circle of friends that are not very useful with women. They are either older than me and starting families, or just plain nerds that aren't very good with women themselves lol.

It's not all bad, I do stand-up comedy, which I always thought was funny considering how shy I can be. And I do good to. I find it's easier to tell a room of 200 strangers a joke than to hit on a woman. Weird eh?

I've never thought of myself as good looking, I don't know if I'm average or below average. Kind of a skinny guy, but I do work out doing weights (I've been told I'm one of the more fit people in my office, though I'm by no means buff)

Anyway I've joined this forum because I need some direction to turn it all around. I've started reading The Game, and a few NLP books. Basically I just need an ass kicking to get set in the right direction and this seemed like a good place to start. I have no aspirations to be the next Ross Jefferies or Mystery or anything like that, but I'd like to finally conquer this problem I have once and for all.

If I were you, get some sexual comedy stuff together, practice by locking eyes with a hotty in the audience, and tell the joke TO HER!

I have been to many stand up shows, and was always thinking how cool that would be, after seeing how the girl/girls I'm with are so worked up and turned on! let me clue you in, some dudes are banging the girls YOU got worked up!

Set up an email account, through that out at the end of your show- something like: For my business clients and that hot little red head!

While you're getting them worked up - someone else is enjoying the spoils of your effort.

You're on the bully-pulpit. You can take down the AMOG's, you can neg several targets, ambush-market the unsuspecting... Dude, you're in the zone.

Find your niche. What's comfortable? What's been successful? Hone it accordingly.

For me - I mention 'the game' when I'm first meeting them. I USE the game to run my game. Very tough gambit - but it's intriguing as hell for the woman, and let's me keep 3 moves ahead usually.

Just remember.... PUA's don't panic - we adapt!

I've actually told jokes to the hotties in the crowd and interacted with them, but once I get off the stage I go back into my shell. I don't know why that happens. Also I haven't been able to do many shows recently, comedy sort of died in my area. It's starting to pick up again, but I need more than just comedy and I don't know what to do.
