Hey All,

I'm a newbie from Houston. About two months ago, my girlfriend cheated on me and moved away. I was crushed. For a while, I thought I should try to get her back, and I made a fool of myself doing it.

After a month, I took a hard look at what I was doing...and looking back, I did it all wrong. I had no game when I got her - and I think I got her because frankly, at the time that we started hanging out, I wasn't interested. So she had to work for me. Well, that and she generally gets pretty frisky when she drinks. But thinking back on that made me realize that after I got in a relationship with her and started liking her I made it too easy for her, and she slowly lost interest.

Frankly, I was a disgrace to myself. A little wimp who didn't know what to say or do, with no style and no swag. It was time for me to step my game up - both short and long term.

A friend gave me "The Game," and I started reading through it - then I watched the two seasons of The Pickup Artist on VH1, and read some notes from the Mystery Method workshops. I tried opening for the first time last night...Overall, I had fun - ran into some total bitches, and some pretty nice people. But I had never, ever tried talking to a random person in a bar before. So even though it wasn't a huuuge success, I think the fact that I got the confidence to go up to people was a good start.
