About me. I'm newly 21 and I gave up video games for my new years resolution so I'm looking for some type of hobby. I'm in college with a pretty hefty course load and have been in a relationship with my first love for the past year and a half. We broke up, and of course I have found a lot of trouble getting over her; I'm still not and do not know the best method of getting over her. With this being said, I'll describe myself. I'm 6'3 average build, not bulky, not skinny, with a lack of dress skills. I used to fake confidence, and once I was in a relationship my confidence was perfect because I felt comfortable. I have always felt I can be any girls friend but I do not know how to get past that friend stage, it may be that I'm a nice guy and I become very anxious with making the first move. I have never really made the first move except with my previous girlfriend. I find that a lot of my less attractive girl friends tend to like me, but the more attractive ones that I am attracted to do not. I'm told by many that I'm good looking but do not know how to dress myself. Usually nike polo with shorts, or jeans with a nike polo or shirt I find it hard to find clothes that fit my build.

I have come to PUA because a friend recommended it to me as a solution to getting over my confidence problems, rejection problems, first move problems, and so on. If specific questions are needed to give me a direction to go in please ask them and I'll respond with information. I'm really looking at more what should I start on in this PUA environment? I figure many of you have been doing this for a while and would have great suggestions to some of the problems I'm having. Thank you for your time in reading this and I look forward to hearing back from some of you on what I can do to start my journey of single life for awhile, until I meet another love.

Welcome! I think giving up video games is a great move so you can free up some time for your new single life. My advice is to find a celebrity with a similar build to yours and a style that appeals to you and just copy that for a start. Also, find some books on pua, if you've never read anything, a good start is David DeAngelo Double Your Dating. It will give you the general idea what this is all about. Then you can move on. Most of all, just have fun, go out, meet new people, make new friends. Don't focus so much on girls or a particular girl, but focus on yourself and the ways you can be happy on your own. The rest will fall into place. This is a great place to find a lot of info, just browse and read up on the topics that interest you. A lot of great guys here that will help you along the way.
