I'm 40, married, with kids and am just starting to learn the game. Starting with study and personal style, dealing with my character and quirks etc.

OK so being married and being honest to girls (other than my wife!) is a serious handicap and something I need to get a handle on. Either get used to being a liar/asshole, or learn to make it irrelevant.

I think I manned up and matured a lot this year and reading a lot of PUA shit has made a lot of sense in terms of personal skills and even on the married end of a relationship. If I can succeed in turning around my wife I think I'll be on to something. I know I settled too soon, and over the years let her get away with too much crap so learning to reign her in will be a big project, if not, then painful as it is I'll have to move on.

WTF am I doing here? I see this as a basic survival skill that I never learned. I don't need to know how to make a fire using two sticks, but I still think that's something I need to master. This stuff is no different.

Got a start on CL with an ad that's got some responses - more than I've ever received. Done some practice dates with 1's - 5's later 30's and older. Dropped the ball on other emails or with some hotter ones. Had some practice with 9's-10's on whatsyourprice and that sort of thing - awesome learning experience/confidence builder but not the direction I want to stay in.
