Greetings, I'm Bill. Like a plethora of others I became acquainted with pick-up through Strauss' 'The Game'. I later became acquainted with the Mystery Method. Although I employed a number of the pair's techniques to a degree of success, I was never satisfied. I had issues with the practicability of a number of methods but principally was dissatisfied with the contrived nature of the material and how such material, as used for openers, DHV's etc., entails the assumption of another personality. A counter-argument might be that the material doesn't need to be adopted wholesale but I still felt, even with personal adjustment, their framework didn't suit me, regardless of the success rate.

My first flirtation with the gentleman's art-form was three years ago. I have recently renewed my interest in the community. Not long ago I graduated from university where I studied philosophy, and like philosophy I intend to approach pick-up not through stylistic holism but through cherry-picking what suits me best in whatever regard. I look forward to sharing my experiences with everyone and enriching my understanding of pick-up.
