I'm not one to choose his own nickname(especially for AFC/PUA reasons, Id rather get one tacked on organically by a fellow wingman) but for the sake of joining this forum I just went with "Code".
I just moved here to Chicago, IL from Orlando, FL for my new job opportunity. I'm a successful software engineer / graphic designer. I'm 25 and I have been in a 6 year relationship (Minus a 1 1/2 year break in which I initiated but I failed miserably with the ladies and ended up returning because it was easy...).
Now that I'm in a big city, I cant help but wonder what I'm missing out on as I walk past lots of sexy girls that I should be taking home. I want the PUA skills that I always wanted but have not achieved yet. I have focused and spent most of my young days trying to make sure I have a future/career but neglected to have fun. As they say "All work and no play, makes you a dull boy at the end of the day". So with that being said, I have crippled my own social skills and youth by not enjoying my birth right and instead I spent countless hours in front of a computer.
As I see the clock ticking on my youth and the expectation that are occurs as one gets older, I feel as if I built a brick wall I can't break through.
I'm not ugly and im not a fat slob but I'm not the Ken / GI Joe type either (I get a good share of IOI's). I'm 5'8'' and can be socially awkward at times. I just recently have been looking elsewhere for answers instead of relying on my instincts. I came across the book "the game" last week and have been spending my free time reading and trying to get the courage to somewhat mimic what I have read so far. Besides being new to the city, I dont have many friends at the moment, nor are they a PUA or at least trying to achieve a PUA status. I am alone among nerds.
So... thats my intro... its kinda long but to be honest, I'm surprised I even joined this forum and submitted this intro. If your in the Chicago area I hope you introduce yourself.
