I'm new to these forums, but I have been following PUA literature and videos for a while. Started out by watching David DeAngelo's DYDing series, then read "The Game", and recently checked out "The Tao of Badass".
I'm 32 years old, and it has been either "feast or famine" for me. I have been with some beautiful women, and very high value women. I started out by having a lot of success with women online. I type well and am a good conversationalist, and am very confident online. So back in the late 90's and early 2k's when AOL was populated, I did very well for myself there. Even got a 5 year relationship out of it with probably what I would call "the love of my life".
Since then, I have had mixed results, and not had very much long term success. Ultimately, it's not about scoring with a large quantity of women at this point. I mean, sex is great, but it's much more fulfilling to me when it's done with someone I can form a bond with.
I have no problem walking up to women and starting conversations with them. I have approached what seemed to others to be unapproachable women and had no problems starting a conversation.
My problem seems to be escalating and closing.
I think I tend to start out strong, then send out the wuss vibe eventually. Whether it's a bartender, waitress, co-worker, girl in line at the bank or grocery store, teacher, stripper, pornstar, or international model.. I CAN and will approach them and 90% of the time I can establish some kind of connection. I either get a number or make tentative plans. The problem comes in the following days/weeks/months. Things seem to fizzle out until they're eventually non-responsive and actively blow me off. This is extremely frustrating.
I am also attempting some online dating through POF and while I think I have a strong profile, I am unsure of what I am doing wrong. I get views, but little responses.. The responses I do get seem to be cold shoulder-ish. I'm not your A-typical "stud", but I'm not a bad looking guy either.
Anyway, I just went out on a date last Friday with a model, and had a great time.. Spent 3 hours with her and I feel we really clicked. I don't want to screw up and blow it, and that's why I'm here.
