I'm from sweden and living close to a bigger city, Gothenburg. I'm 19 year old.

I started with pickup around 1,5 year ago, during a depression which later ended up with social phobia. The psychologs I was talked to did'nt help and the solution for me was internet. A tip I was gaven was to read The Game as it could help me for a better psychologic health. After I was reading the book I was really intrested if it really worked so I tested a few tip from the book on a girl my friend know while we was home at him. I was scared, not because to do something wrong, you have nothing to lose, but that while trying some openers etc I got her intrested and after awhile I said "I think I have to leave now, the clock is getting late" because I did'nt how far I should go or how far she wanted me to go.

She almost was to following me home and leave our friend because she thought I was funnier and more social. (Note that I got/had Social Phobia) but I told her it was better if she stayed here.

I later find a swedish forum who explained stuff about "The Game" and why the book did'nt work as good anymore and the different about cultures, like some stuff in the book are not as good in different cultures.

I tried kinda hard to change myself, be able to have more talk with girls, Day game etc but it's hard. And in sweden you need to be atleast 18 to enter the pub and the friends I like to party with are not 18 yet. Two of them turning 18 in about a month and we all agreed to enter the pub as soon as they get 18 and I believe that after this I will be more sure on myself and be able to pickup in a better way!

I know many things, all is in the head, I do not believe in the book "The Game", so I know more how you should be and what to do as yourself instead of using other conversations. But I also heard this other methods are more usefuls and I'm willing to test it as long as they are not copying stuff told in "The game" since that is something many people have read or heard about nowadays and are old.
