Raised by immigrant parents here in Canada with a large focus on academia.
Spending time with friends, activities outside of school or even going outside was restricted.

After planting the seed of the beginning of an actual life outside of studies during jr high, I continued to be socially selectively awkward towards those of high value or those who I found physically attractive.

A year of chasing a friend of mine who now reveals herself to be playing for the other team really gave me a huge wake-up call.

Been getting into PUArts for the past three months, ironically after said friend made fun of Pick Up after seeing The Game in a bookstore.

Had a few of my first KC's and dozens of number closes over the summer.
Approaching and maintaining conversation isn't much for me anymore since I had the image of the "Nicest guy ever" already established at my school and most have embraced my new persona with open arms.

Had a small stumble today though.

A HB-8 I've known as an acquaintance for about five years and has also been in a relationship for that period of time, seemed to radiate negativity when I approached a few mutual friends she was with. Her attitude and choice of words just seemed to shut down all hooks of conversation, so after about 10 minutes of myself slowly reverting back into an AFC with this group I greeted the HB-8 with a friendly "Have a nice day" to her surprise.

A nice run after getting home got me into the mood to actually sign up here and contribute.
