Anyway Friday I was not happy with myself. I went to my local pub and I didn't talk to any sets at all and was unhappy about that. Experience is key for me. If I can't 'get' with a girl and I know shes not available, I go into instant playa mode and start cocky comedy and giving her a hard time. When I like a girl and I know shes available I go into dumb mode and can't think of anything to say.
This is annoying.
Well I convinced myself into going to the pub on Saturday to make up for lost time and my word what fun it was.
I was funny, flirty, stared at and having a party with my mates.
I was even flirting with a girl, Ashley, who my friend, Alex, was attaching himself to gradually in the none verbal form (probably a good thing). He was not doing it the right way. I could tell there was no tension. He kept trying to kiss her and she kept resisting (not sure why) but in the end she gave in and kissed him.
This just didnt seem right to me and I never would have been able to pick this up before. I think she was really after me. I had negged her several times and we had a verbal argument about English football (soccer) teams which I kept to a friendly yet pushy affair. I could tell she liked it. She is still wrong. I would never have had an argument like this before and I knew to hold my turf and keep up the resistance.It was so good. Later on I said goodbye, she said 'I bet youve forgotten my name?" I walked over to her, looked her straight in the eyes and said "Ashley". Everyone ooooohed at this and she verbally complimented me. The fact that in the time it took me to walk over there I had remembered her name cause I really had forgotten was neither here no there.
I flirted with another girl, she wanted to take my pool shot and I said no (obviously, nice guys would have said yes) so she said either I take the shot now or never. I told her never (wrong answer) and she left.
I now know what I should have done. I should have ignored both those answers and made up my own. bad boys live by their own rules. It was a test but the answer was C) It's my shot so I'll make the rules. I'm learning and it's fun as hell.
I kept up with the antics when a girl asked my mate for a cigarette ( I don't smoke) and I told her there was a toll on that cig. She said what toll and I said you owe me ,it's wasn't even my cig but that didn't matter. I was resisting her natural ability to gain free cigs. She said what do I owe you and I said I would tell her later. I played mysterious. We smiled and I turned to my friends.
Later on she pitched up with a cig wanting a light and I didn't manage to get another few words in but my mate did and she was smiling so much.
I'm amazed at myself. I'm learning but I find the more I do real hands on stuff, the more my natural game improves. I also notice that line such as 'who lies more, men or women?' work well because of their structure and I get them now. They are almost legit reasons to start talking to a girl. Validation. Where was just a 'hello' can get negative reactions from some girls because they can see through you if your body language gives you away.
My next thing to work on? Body language and smiling when a girl looks at me. Both of which I'm terrible at.
