Since I just wrote a bunch of backstory below that might turn away experienced members short on time, I'm gonna put some q's up here.

I've been reading bits and pieces on PUA from this site and others, but I'm a newbie and I really need to start from the bottom. Step 1, so to speak. I've read some intro stuff and have seen the recommended reading, but it seems pretty jumbled to me. "Read this book on NLP, this one on women, this one on the game, etc." I don't doubt their help and will surely pick them up along my journeys, but I think an all encompassing program to get me started would be best for me.

You know, something with a bit of a step by step. Something that covers a little bit of everything... AA, newbie missions, openers, progression, confidence building, attraction, seduction, etc.

Is there a specific program that's a good start that is highly recommended that covers everything? I'm not looking for just sex, I don't want to become a total asshole (no offense as I see now that is not really what PUA is about), and I'd like to be natural. Though, I can see where unnatural can be a good start for a newbie, so I'm not opposed to going unnatural as long as I'm not just straight out lying (like saying I'm a pilot) and digging myself a hole.

So some recommendations on an all encompassing program/course would be great. I see it as a road map that gets me going, rather than buying a separate book for each city I'll be staying in before I even take off. Once I have the map I can get on the road, and this site and other books will act as the brochures and city guides I use for extra info when I reach that town.

And now onto the novel, if you want to know more about my background story.

Hello all,

First post here, just found the site and the PUA community couple days ago. I'm a 29 year old in the MetroDetroit, Michigan USA area. I'm definitely an AFC with some qualities/skills that put me above and some qualities/skills/beliefs that put me below.

I'm here to learn some new skills, get a new lease on life, gain new confidence in all areas of my life, and of course meet women. I don't have any specific wants yet, but I would like to have fun and... 1. Meet women for friends and build a bigger social circle. 2. Meet women for sex, and 3. Eventually meet a woman that I can have an LTR with.

I'm a relatively attractive guy, tall, working on an athletic build (but decent already), nice eyes, straight-white teeth, deep voice, etc. I'm balding, but it doesn't really phase me. I've slept with many women and girls seem to like me. But I am most definitely still an AFC. I don't have game, I don't have confidence, I'm reliant on luck and my circle. You see, when I'm in a social setting (school, friends, work, etc.) and a woman has time to get to know me, I'm a very likable guy. People find me attractive/cute, girls get crushes on me, etc. but I don't act on it. My success has come from luck, aggressive women, liquid courage (gets me horny, not afraid to advance), and online. Several partners were just FB gotten from online. And since my circle has gotten stagnantly small, I don't even have new women getting to know me anymore.

Up until a few weeks ago at a bar, I had never approached a woman. Cold approach... are you crazy?!?!!? I've never even thought about doing it, it is just something I DO NOT DO. But under heavy liquid courage and a wing that did have confidence to approach I couldn't just sit around by myself like a pussy (which I am). So I chatted up the friend, we went to another bar, and I chatted up an older HB7 before she left, and then made out with a HB5 by night's end. No beer would have been a no go, so I'm still a frickin' newbie in terms of skill and confidence.

I'm gonna go out and do the newbie mission later this week, and pick up some more nice clothes while I'm at it. And also gonna work on not being afraid of eye contact and just talking to anyone I meet to build calm conversation skills.

Hey bro welcome to the forum!

If you want something to start off with, most of the guys here started with "The Game" by Neil Strauss. It is more of a novel than a book that teaches you how to become a PUA, but it also teaches you a lot of the techniques/lingo that PUA's use. It also describes different types of guru's with their own views on the game. Maybe you really like the Ross Jeffries part of the book, then you should read books on NLP or get the Speed Seduction products. Maybe you like the way Mystery operates, then you could go for "The Mystery Method/ The Venusian arts". Etcetera.

I suggest you read The Game (it's really a good read) and then decide what you're going to read next.

Best of luck!

Chillburg

Unlike Chillberg,I can't recommend any books.

I actually started out reading"The art of sedutio"n by Robert Greene. I doubt its for newbies.

I got my advance game from reading online articles by dating coaches and I'd actually write down the articles(entire-lol)in noebooks. Then when it was time to sarge,I literally took notes with me in my poccets as a crutch since I have a bad memory(lol).

So when I'd be chatting up a chicc,I'd sneak off into the bathroom to quicly scan a routine on my notes and hope to memorize it(lol).

That's how I started. But for newbies,I recommend just learning to fluff talk and # closing routines.Nothing too heavy like NLP,overt kino(by Decarlo the dating coach),etc.
Crawl first.

Thanks for the tips guys. Since "The Game" covers a little bit of the different styles I can see where that will help me decide on my next step. I didn't want to pick up the wrong one and find it to be too advanced, or too involved in just one aspect (NLP), or just otherwise unfitting to my personality.

That's funny, K-loc. I have a good memory for some things, but I think I'd have a bad memory for things like this. Which is why to start I'm just going to get used to eye contact, smiling, and saying hi. Then just move on to small chat with whoever is around me. I hope that just building some social/conversation skills will keep me less reliant on memorizing routines and losing it if I don't know what to say next.

Thanks again, I'll continue to look around for newbie tips.

Welcome welcome welcome! I think the best material to start of with would the following:

1- Youtube- There is literally TONS pua material on youtube i cannot stress this enough.
2- The Mystery Method: How to Get Beautiful Women into Bed by Mystery- This was (and still is) my go to guide when it comes to the Venusian Arts. I believe this book provides great back ground and theory as to the art of the pick up.
3- Rules of the Game by Neil Strauss (AKA Style)- Excellent material. Has the best routines/kino gambits i have seen in any book. i highly recommend it
4- Websites- (please dont take this in the wrong way. I am not advertising) if my mind serves me correctly the following link was mentioned in the book The Game.

http://www.fastseduction.com/guide/

That is also a good link that provides all the basics along with routines/gambits/kino routines etc.

Have fun and remember: practice!
Cheers~!

Thanks.

I didn't notice that The Game and Rules of The Game are different books at first. I guess he must write some good stuff for both of those to be recommended. I'm a little surprised that people are recommending books as opposed to programs as I would have thought they would be more encompassing. That's why you ask questions though, right.
