Hi there. I'm a 19-year-old student from Finland who just recently stumbled upon the PUA-community. It was the book "The Game" by Neil Strauss that initially sparked my interest in the sub-culture.

I'm an analytical observer at the core, and I've always felt quite detached from my surroundings. I often get anxious and irritated in social settings I'm a part of, with the exception of those I have control over or in which I really know my place. Since I'm fond of intellectual pursuits and learning new things, I thought I'd take up a new hobby (of learning to pull social strings), which might help me overcome my social shortcomings. I've tried out some principles of PU in the field, and the reactions have kept my curiosity going.

My primary motives for aspiring to become a PUA are different than those of most other people, I'd wager. I'm mostly interested in the process itself - the Game - and the dimension of control.

Howdy! Analysing, understanding and being clever about things is always good, but as Sinn poignantly says, "thinking in-field is the enemy" so take more action, try out different things and always try to have fun and be content regardless of what happens. Still though, try to develop that interest in things like persuasion and NLP as much as possible.
