Hey All,

Hi. I'm an English teacher teaching kids in South Korea. I'm 31, but everyone says I look 25. My dating pool is somewhat limited. I wouldn't rule out dating a Korean woman-I like asian women as much as the next guy-but I want someone I have more in common with; not to mention that Korea seems to be a more conservative culture thanks to the popularity of Christianity here, so I don't think they're big on casual sex. This leaves me to date the other English teachers and there are a few hundred of them on the island (Jeju) but I only know a couple dozen of them in my city. I have a bit of one-itis at the moment for this one girl, but she seems to be going for this other jackass. He's a smooth-talker and I'm new at this, but I'll destroy him and AMOG him if I can. Maybe you guys can help me with that (Hint, hint)

Talking to strangers has always been a challenge for me. I'm okay if they talk to me, but I've always had trouble initiating contact. Ironically, I've been with at least 17 women. Pretty good for a guy who doesn't know how to talk to strangers. I'm embarrassed to admit, though, that it's been almost three years for me. I thought I'd get laid like crazy when I got to Japan (I taught in Japan a bit before coming to Korea) but it turned out Japanese women aren't quite as crazy for tall foreign guys as I'd heard. I'm 6'4" (193cm), btw. I'm a dirty blonde with 13 tattoos. I give myself a 7 on a scale of 1-10 as far as looks go.

I'm glad I got into the community, though. I really feel like this can help me. I've already got Styles audiobook and some other MP3s on my iPod and I'm studying hard. I know, I know; I need to get out there and practice and I will, but again, I'm on a island in South Korea. The hang-outs and targets are somewhat limited, here. Still, I need to practice.

eh, welcome. First of, looks dont matter. what you need to do is capture their attention and keep it with what u say, and the way you act. as of initiating contact, always noice something about them. either compliment them, or notice soemthing, that maes u feel in a certain way, and dont be afraid to challange them. if they bark back its good. there are millions of openers, out there. find some that work for u and try em out. even at first u dont succeed. just approace, you'll see what works and wat doesnt.
have fun with it, thats what its all about. dont make it a chore.
