I joined this forum awhile ago but thought i'd make my first post.

I am not a freshman in college, and am in a fraternity. For me, picking up girls is easy and hard at the same time, depending on the situation. I don't know if anyone else is experiencing this, but the most popular time and place I meet women is at parties. Accordingly, they are usually atleast moderately intoxicated, so much of the time even if I get a number they don't remember who I really am.

I actually got a text tonight from a girl's friend I asked a number to, she asked me to stop messaging her on facebook(I sent two messages in which she replied) because i'm creaping her out... worst words you could really here. Just from my personal studying, I realize I didn't demonstrate higher value to her, even though she did have a boyfriend. I didn't make any "prize" for her. I was also partially drunk so I don't rememember exactly everything I did, but by the result it seems that she saw me as a undesirable catch.

There are many attractive girls in the sororities that i'm surrounded with, and sometimes I end up pretty well, but I never really make it past the party. Sometimes I get a number, other times it just kind of ends...

Anyways I think my main problems are the classic male inability to really engage women, and also just need to boost my confidence. I can easily talk to attractive women, and I can nag them, but unless were playing beer pong against eachother and I start just being cute with her about missing a shot, and starting a convo from there, I really can't just walk up to girls and start talking to them. I think a party is the only place I can do that, in normal situations without alcohol, I really don't have the courage to walk up to just any girl and start a conversation lol.

Im not sure if anyone else feels this way, but the "opener" idea seems a bit weird in my mind. I only say this because if you do that with a girl, you might just end up freaking them out in my mind. Especially if you pull one involving sex in any manner when you haven't talked with them before. Even if a girl is sexual, it seems that just some random guy playing about it wouldn't create positive returns.

I am here to learn though so i'll do what I have to do. You keep posting your tips, i'll keep reading and practicing em! Nice to meet you guys
