Would just like to say hi to all my fellow chancers fighting the good fight out there.

Theres a line from the Rod Stewart / Stereophonics song "Handbags and Gladrags' that sums up my younger life best..

"When I was a young man, all I thought I had to do was smile"

That was me in a nutshell - when I was in my late teens early twenties I was spoiled - I was a cheerful, carefree and freshfaced and never seemed to have to try at all. I used to go out get drunk and always seemed to score - and with quality girls too!

I've also discovered a name for a condition I've long suffered from - Oneitis!!!

So as I got older I began to think too much and as a result became nervous of rejection. The loop I've been stuck in for years is this..

"I pretty girls about but I'm too nervous to speak.. Maybe when I've drunk this beer... 20mins later.. Still too nervous... 4 beers and 2 hours later I'm either having too much fun and larking about to care or drunk and miserable because I've failed to score"

So now I'm on a path - it started with basic psychology and with me changing who I am and how I react to situations and as a result I'm more confident and sure of myself at 34 than i have ever been. Now I want to bring that confidence to my game and live the life I deserve.

Thanks for taking the time to read this and I look forward to sharing info with you all.

Welcome to the forum, to the community, and to the lifestyle my friend.

Have you read any books on pick-up thus far?

Hey shoot me down for being predictable but I started reading 'the game' this week and before that an ebook called 'the art of approaching' or something like that.

Scratching the surface I'm already a hell of a lot more confident by just knowing some of the things I've been doing wrong all these years!

My latest revelation has been the 'cat string theory' I can quite confidently say I can attract girls but the mistake I've always made is handing control to them. I've never known when to walk away or punish them and have often ruined a great start by either hangin around too long or allowing someone else to steal them off me. I never understood the power of having the courage to walk away!!
