Other than stories, how can DHVs be portrayed? And what if you're in a tight situation where you're time is really short.. How can you DHV quick enough?
DHVs never really bothered me before, but I just want to get it solid and get it down. So it would be cool if you guys could list some DHVs and any possible follow ups. I'll share some once I find some. Thanks again - Harmony - |

| Body language, tricks... If you can do cold reading, magic etc thats DHV, showing them something they didnt know before. Showing them you have the power to reach them on a higher/deeper level. Body language, be the AMOG, works like a charm! |

| It should feel "natural". So much emphasis is put on going straight to DHV from the opener, and it's just not true. It has to flow. Otherwise it will seem forced, disingenuous, or nervous, all of which is bad. So sometimes you can go straight into a DHV (e.g. bar routine, magic trick, cold read) from an appropriate opener, while other times you better settle down and fluff it up with the girl until you see an opportunity to DHV. |

I disagree with ROADS a bit here, I don't really think your transition from opener to DHV needs to flow (though it couldn't hurt).
Look at a comedian's routine... While many comedians use "segways" (segway = transition in the entertainment biz), many do not. It's not uncommon to hear a comedian talking about their drive to the comedy club, suddenly stop, then start talking about their mother in law. Audiences don't question it, they just go with it... and so will your target. It's called "cutting threads" in PUA lingo.
however, using segways is a bit more natural, and should be done if possible. My advice is to steal something from her response to your opener... or hell, steal something from your own opener.

PUA: Speaking of FRIENDS, I was out shopping with a girl friend the other day, the clerk approached me and he suggested a shirt I might like. It had "handsome" written on it in that backwards mirror writing....
there you have a smooth transition from your opener, to your DHV with the use of just one word.
The point here, is that transitions are good, and do make conversations seem more natural, however, they aren't a necessity. Better to cut the opener and just start a new thread then to have an awkward pause while your trying to come up with a good transition. |

Roads has a good point that I personally normally forget. That it's okay to fluff a little bit, just as long as it doesn't go on for too long, and you lose her interest.
If you open a set, and can't smoothly transition to a DHV yet, it's better to stay talkative, even if it's fluff momentarily. then you can lead yourself in to a DHV.
If you memorize the characteristics of the AMOG, and then just tell a story which shows (subtley) that you have that characteristic, it'll be a DHV, even without being the most amazing story or lie you've memorized |

DHV's just demonstrate something good about yourself without seeming like your bragging.
Their are five types of DHV spikes you can use on a girl. The least important of which is anything you say good about yourself. The other ways in which you dhv have a stronger impact on the girl. Read Magic Bullets. |

That's very true. I've done this during sarges, just randomly pointing out some article of clothing in the set and jumping to a DHV almost on a tangent. But it felt right, and the set followed. I guess the point is something Tripp emphasized to me in the PUA Chat: You must be vibing. If the vibe is there, you can pretty much lead the convo however you want. On the other hand, if you've just approached a set, and especially if you have little or no social proof, you must have a smooth flow or transition from your openers to DHV. Otherwise, the risk of getting blown out right away is pretty high.

That's a great strategy. I don't know if others can do this on the fly, but whenever I'm drawing a blank on how to DHV in a particular situation, I think of a characteristic of a famous actor (Tom Cruise, Chuck Norris, Will Smith, Brad Pitt, etc.) and convey that particular characteristic through body language and a quick little story. Like almost snipping out a poster of them from my mind, and laying it over myself like a blanket, if only for a few moments. Give it a try guys.  |
