ok
so my apartment complex has a gym that i just started frequenting. occasionally, i see some hotties come in and go straight to the elliptical machines in the back to work out. some of them wear headphones, some dont, but either way i feel kind of awkward going over to them and striking up a conversation when theyre wearing spandex, and damn well know that the only reason im probably talking to them is because of the lack of imagination their tight ass clothes present. i guess im wondering if there is a sure fire way to make an indirect approach, or a pseudo-innocent direct approach to make things easier for me.

Ha, funny I just started going back to the gym - I find it makes you feel good and good = great for confidence which = awesome for inner game.

Anyway, approaching girls in the gym is a tricky one,

1) They are there to train/work out etc so they probs be more shielded and they will be are aware they are wearing very tight clothes.
2) If it goes bad - your approach - you may have to see them again on a regular basis, could be awkward.
3) If you do want to talk to them, make it seem as innocent as possible, wait until they finish there set, and ask if you can jump in etc (dunno what the hell an ellipitcal machine is but can you use it? lol)

I am sure more experienced folk will help you out - but they are my thoughts: Be open and make the approach seem unplanned and just get chatting and take it from there.

Opening in the gym is easy just do an exercise near your target and run your opener spontaneously over your shoulder. It's not harder to open in the gym and to be honest it's easy.

just go do an exercise near them, open them such as (wow your in good shape, you should show me your routines on this machine) or something like that i would think

then after your talk that should last for like 5-15 minutes, tell her your tired and are going to get something to eat and ask "hey i like you, you are interesting, care to join me for lunch/dinner?"

i dunno if any of this is good because im a AFC too, but i'd try that..let me know if you do try it

I don't know, I'm pretty serious in the gym. I'm either too pumped up and ready to rip somebody's head off, sweat pouring off me and veins popping out of my neck, grunting and growling, or tired and exhausted from pushing myself to the limit.

the elliptical machines are the jogging machines that move each foot independently w/an incline, and difficulty feature. there are 3 of them side by side. often the problem with these, is that the girls that are on them are typically wearing headphones. is there anyway to take their attention away from the headphones without completely annoying them? Smile

This is what I have to say about gyms.. Do not pick up women in them. 99% of the time, you will come of as a creep.

Even I feel uncomfortable when women strike up conversation with me at the gym, it's inappropriate for the environment.

The key in my experience to Gym game, is to be very non-direct and disqualify yourself if she seems uncomfortable.

In the gym, you aren't generally wearing very much, so any attention to 'pick you up' will make you very self conscious and uncomfortable. If you just make a friendly comment and get a favourable response, strike up a conversation about the gym. The key is to relate to each other upon the thing you clearly (at least currently) have in common. Talk about her routine, your routine then maybe wander to diet, and whether she does any sports. At the end of the conversation, when someone leaves, be very non-commital, don't try to close in any way. The next time you see her, you can say hi, or wave, and strike up another convo. At the end of the second meeting then ask her if she fancies grabbing something to eat some time.

I've found in the gym, it always goes better if you don't make any requests of them on the first meeting. It tends to throw them off since they were kind of expecting you to at least ask for her number.
