The dude matt would always approach with-
"hello ladies, my friends and i just completed a caper and now we're celebrating like its the end of oceans 11."
What the hell does this mean??? I never got that shit.. Is the idea to make the girls think you're a pompous prick, or is it to come across like a major douchbag.. I couldn't figure it out... |

EDIT: Just incase anyone is still wondering a caper is kinda like a "heist". He mentions Oceans 11 because that was what the film was about, them doing a caper. Proper definition: Slang An illegal plot or enterprise, especially one involving theft.
I agree though, it's a weird thing to open with and it got so annoying that it was the only opener he used, that and the "What's this from, nobody puts baby in a corner". I mean ffs guys did Mystery just teach you all 1 opener each or something.

I absolutley HATED that opener. I know what a caper is, but seriously, who uses that word?
Plus, that whole thing is a lie, and that's one thing I have a hard time doing, using a blatant lie as an opener.
Other openers I couldn't stand are the "spells" opener, and the "do you think david bowie/mick jagger is hot" opener. I doubt most girls you meet at clubs even know who those guys are. |

Im pretty sure anyone who has the slightest clue about pop culture in the last 40 years knows who david bowie and mick jagger are...and the opener does work btw...
However, the caper one sounds stupid but im sure if any legit PUA could pull it off |

| Matt's opener always made me think of that Dane Cook joke about being in a Heist. I got equally tired of hearing both of them. |

Hey Chief, that's got to be the worst opener that I've ever heard of . . .
But, say it with a smile and some confidence and it will work wonders
Seriously, an opener is a way to open a set and get to the vastly more important parts--nothing else.
I've found that most of the guys that spend their days downing other people for their openers are the same guys that spend their nights alone or with their guy friends because they don't have the balls to talk to chicks.
Remember, openers are like sex--bad ones are better than none at all and they'll get better and better if you try them with enough different girls. |

| Lol yeh, I was thinking that when I was watching the show. he came across as a really creepy/needy doush bag. But "Dont put baby in a corner" was just as bad! lol. What kind of a line is that? Is he gay? lol. Honestly I liked matt alot better than sim. Matt was far more genuine, sim got on my nerves a bit. he was too full on. |
