"buy me ____!" - shit test?

if this thread is in the wrong place, please move it. i wasnt exactly sure

ok so im seeing this new chick. HB9. she knows she's hot, she is very confident, and she was very hard to game. I have kiss closed her though, and shes in to me.

Well here is my problem. she always begs me to buy her crap. for example, she will beg "buy me a drink please please please" "Buy me ciggerettes please please" etc, she relentlessly begs, puppy dog eyes and all. So far i have only given in ONCE...and that was a $2.50 beer. all the other times i have resisted, and its VERY hard. Is this her form of a shit test? I need some tips to combat this. I dont know if she is used to getting what she wants, or if she is shit testing me somehow.

Hey man, I wouldn't give in, as tempting as it sounds. I used to pull out my wallet at the slightest hint from a girl that she wanted something, and all it did was make me her mobile ATM. Only buy her things as rewards for nice things she does for you. You can deflect the begging with a combination of C&F, negs, and just plain ignoring her (but make sure to pull her back in immediately).

Also, ask yourself what her motifs are here. Don't get used, at least don't get used first...

yeah, so far ive only bought her a beer. im not one to shell out money towards a woman, but she is really good at begging.

i dont think i will get used either, im just gonna go with the flow on this one (so far she hasnt shown me she is special, shes just hot). i dont really care what happens

i guess i was just nervous that she would loose intrest in me if i didnt buy her shit. now that i think about it, i dont want an expensive chick anyway; so if she looses intrest because of that, fine.

I like the topic, so I'll chip in.

Shit-tests are not something women do consciously (I'll side with David De on this one). Well, OK, Zip might, but she's an exception rather than the rule.

As for buying her stuff - you're doing good in my books. I don't think a single beer changes anything, and you've already k-closed her. I usually loosen up a bit after k-closes - shit, it's comfort already, cut the poor girl some slack. I did a very similar thing once - after a k-close I was ordering myself a drink at the bar and I asked the girl if she wanted anything apart from another kiss. She smiled and said (direct quote) 'That's a pleasant surprise, I thought you were one of those guys religiously opposed to doing nice things for girls...'. Naturally, I didn't do it again. Didn't want her to get used to the wrong dynamic here.

Avoid being the lovable loser who buys her drinks to win her attention.
Avoid getting her used to receiving stuff from you. It's fun for her as well if she gets something once in a while, keeps her guessing Twisted Evil

Shit test all the way. Had this too a while ago. This girl gave me the puppy dog eyes look after I didn't gave my drink. My afc friends, and other people she asked, all gave her their drinks and I was the one that didn't (thanks to the psychology of DD and Mystery). Gave a few compliance test after that. Kissed and number closed that evening (had to leave after 30min). She's my gf now Wink

What I'm about to say might sound contradictory to the pua literature, but you need to know this. Studies on gamblers and lab mice found that random intermittent reward was far more addicting than predictable or consistent reward. You can exploit this physiological "flaw" by rewarding her intermittently, and unpredictably. If you _never_ buy her stuff, that is predictable and boring. If you buy her stuff every time she asks, that is also predictable and boring. If you make rare occasions to buy her something when she's not asking, that is unpredictable and interesting. If you make rare occasions to buy her something when she wants it, that is also unpredictable and interesting.

In other words: When gaming a girl, cat string theory over-rides the "don't buy girls drinks" rule of thumb.
