Post subject:  need help with texting

so I met this girl at school. I got her number and all. I think shes interested in me but i'm not sure. I kinda asked her to hang out last weekend and she said she went up north.
Today: I called her and got no answer
5 minutes later she texts me back and goes "hey, I'm at the movies."
I go, "call me back later".
5 hours go by...
I text her: "long movie lol"
her: "omg I forgot to call you back"
me: "how are you gonna make it up?"
her: "no idea"

I really don't know what to say next. She may even have a bf. She also goes to my school so I dont want to f things up.

Any advice.

Her: no idea

You: use your imagination

Her: (whatever she says)

You: (unless she says something amazing) Well thats not that entertaining. I had something more "interesting in mind" (continue with this pattern)

Although I don't think she's interested in you man you should probably pull the plug on this one.

The problem is that you're a needy bore. It doesn't matter what you think you are, your text-pong already showed her your cards plain and clear. You don't text girls to "hang out" or chit chat like, "call me back, "you didn't call back . . " This isn't AFC . . . Instead, it's actually how women communicate to one another. The next thing she's expecting from you is an offer accompany her to the ladies room . . . This is the reality you've created so . . . back off for now and go to an ALL STOP.

Thus far, you've confused your GOAL with TASKS. Do you know what I mean? Your goal was to hang out with her so you texted her, "Let's hang out or something." Your goal was get her to call you back so you asked her "Call me back." Let's use some imagination! Let's use some strategy! When you want an A in class, you don't just tell the professor, I want an A.

So . . . you want her to hang out with you during the weekend? Put some time into it and figure out what women like to do. Bonus points if you figure out specifically what this girl likes to do. Don't call her and ask! That would be another confusion between goal and task! Now with that in mind . . . let's step it up!

You're obviously very new to this. Don't wing it. Write it down.

5 hours go by...
I text her: "long movie lol" texting her twice in a row before attracting her = too needy, dont do it

her: "omg I forgot to call you back"

me: "how are you gonna make it up?" it seems like you care too much, i would've said "k whatever."

her: "no idea"

Better luck next time dude, you came off as too needy from the beginning =/

my suggestion is you freeze her out for a few days, and then randomly send a good text opener that encourages, but does not require a response from her.

when she starts talking to you again, just control the frame as if you are doing her a favor by talking to her because she still owes you. that means you don't say this to her, but let it be the underlying theme or context of your conversation.

Ill steal this thread a little, since I dont have enough posts to start a new one..

Ok, so i went to this charaoke bar with a group of friends and met this really cute girl, id say HB8,5 maybe.. We were all dancing and singing along and it was impossible to talk due to the noise. But I think i impressed her by having her back when she got pushed onto the floor and she sticked with me for the rest of the night. She was also kinda bad ass, and pushed the couple that pushed her down back, and we had alot of fun.
When leaving I made a very quick number close cause I had to go quickly so I didnt miss my cab with my friends.

Later that night (when on my way home) I txted her cause I didnt know her name. Heres how it went:

Me: I didnt catch ur name
Her: hehe, im Jennifer:) Whats your name?
Me: Jimbo it is then.. Im (funny and really weird name that shes probably never heard before)
Me (minute later): Just kidding, got scared now didnt ya? im (my real name)..

Didnt get a reply the same night (She had prolly fallen asleep or something). Or just not interested;) who knows..

- Now, if she doesnt text me back or anything for a couple of days, what should I do? How long to wait etc..?

Btw: What would be best for me would be if we met somewhere out on town next weekend cause I know id kiss close her then, but Im not that comfortable with "dates". Like starbucks etc..

And I came up with something, but not sure if this would work. Id text her:
"Hey, need a body guard this weekend?"

Tada!

And just come out and say, you got email? Because I'm sure texting me ALL the time is hurting your fingers.

Yea man hate to say it but it seems like she isn't interested. The best suggestion i would have for you is to not text her anymore unless she text first and then when you see her at your school again just act like you completly forgot about her and make it seem as if she isn't something that you are always trying to make a concern about.

i think you messed up big time when you texted "long movie lol"

why did you do that? if she isnt calling you back its most likely because she isnt interested...

2 options at that point... 1. ditch it or 2. if you are stuborn like me you will make her interested :)

next time you do that dont make it look like you are following her around. makes you look really desperate.

I'm not a big fan of texting...my motto; keep it short and cocky.

And don't suggest hanging, tell her that YOU will hang out.

don't say 'wanna hang out later'

I've always just gone 'so yeah we're gettin tht pizza on so and so'

works a charm.

Personally I love text game. Its something I enjoy, now I get girls telling me that one of things that attracted me to them is the way I text. That said this is from years of teenage agonising and over analyising text messages...

You want to keep your text short, direct and let them display that you are taking control of the situation. Dont text a girl to "hang out"; you havent created any connection, or possibly even attraction here for her to want to hang around you for no particular reason. So for, I wouldnt text her anymore until youve created more interest with her at scholl

What you need is some sort of an event or something that she is going to want to do. Ive got a mate who is great at this, he always fills his calender with gigs and stuff. So he just casually drops it into the conversation that he and a group of mates are going to this gig, (making sure NOT to invite her). Then either invites her as a brief after thought as he's leaving (you want to try to be the one breaking the conversation), or gives them a text later.
