I have nearly no approach anxiety when I approach in a setting where I think it’s socially acceptable, like at a bar or party and I haven’t tried any street pick ups yet. I can open a lot of different sets, mixed sets, large sets and I can keep the set talking for a while but then I come to a point where everything goes south and I excuse myself and leave. This is an example of how it usually goes down, let’s say I open a two set here with: Me: Give me your female opinion, do you guys think I would look good blonde? Girls: (sometimes they say yes, more often they say no, I try to talk a little about that and then I procede) Me: So how do you know eachother? Girls: bla bla bla Me: Are you best friends? Girls: *giggles* Me: Let me do the best friend test on you, look at me, now answer this, do you use the same schampoo Me: “Ahh, she is your best friend because she looked at you before replying”. Most of you will probably recognize this from the Mystery Method, I can deliver this. But after this they perhaps ask for my name and I know I’m doing good and then I want to start talking about something real, like tell them something about me but I can’t seem to get there. Sometimes I manage to number close when I just joke around through the entire interaction, then leave and by chance find the girl again but I would like to be more effective in the first encounter. |

Ok so uv managed to memorize an opener and a routine, but ur still having trouble having a normal conversation.....:u need to write down like 10 things you like talking about that u could talk about with girls (reality tv, traveling, music, school, hobbies of yours, fashion, whatever) AND ACTUALLY WRITE IT DOWN.that should at least get u started when ur having trouble after u finish the best friends test. Don't b afraid to just blurt out things that u r thinking in the moment. Doing stuff like that will make u seem more natural and spontaneous. If you're thinking it, SAY it. And you'll start to get the feel for what types of spontaneous things u can get away with. Also, once the girls ask u your name, they obviously want to know more about you, so you can chill a little bit and have more of a normal conversation "I go to xyz school, I do xyz" Make sense? |

I have the same problem (and I also use the schampoo routine I try to get over it by playing with a rule that says not to leave the set until the set tells you to leave, no matter what happens and no matter if I run out of things to say. I had some weird situations when I just stood silent or talked a lot of nonsense, but I feel that it helps. |

haha i think that we all have the same problem at the start. I look at it as a obstacle that will get away with time and training |
