Situation: I am in a class in college and my Target is in HB9.5 college graduate (She is the TA). She is 2 years older I believe. So for extra credit, the TA's hold these discussion sessions. So today I went to one. I got there and there was maybe 6 people total and 2 TAs, the HB9.5, and the other was a 3. So in class this girl gives me lotsa of eye contact. IN this session she sat where the teacher would, making it a bit more of a formal thing. So I pretty much ran with whatever came up and talked to both TA's while the chick next to me just said how bad she was doin the class and that I was smart. So I really wants able to isolate the HB but I did notice: Excessive eye contact, also we have to turn in these papers that have such a strange format that the TA's grade them as accepted or not accepted. Mine was accepted and when I shifted the conversation towards the papers I just asked a genereal question.
Me: General question about the paper
HB: Wasnt yours accepted?
Me: yea
HB: i thought so, I thought yours was one of the really good ones
and on another occasion brought up again remembering something I said durring the last class.
I did also neg her a little when she shared her experiences that she had taking the class last year, Im not sure how well they went over though.
So I left without any close, and she said to goto the prof for further help on the paper. I was thinking about just emailing or going up to her tomorrow that I am busy durring the teachers office hours and wanted her help then maybe I could get a 1 on 1 with her.
What should I do? And if I get the 1 on 1 how do I sway towards my control and also how do I break the any possible prederminations she may have like if she doesnt date students how to break past that and get her to look at me as a consideration. |

Dude, that is a hard pickup here is why. Your in a teacher student situation and while you're in that situation you are effectively taking part in her reality where she is the Alpha.. It sounds like she "likes" you, but attraction is a whole different story.. Realize that in 2 years of TA'ing as a HB9.5 your not the first student that has tried to game her.. You can do the 1 on 1 thing and try to game her that way but it just seems a little AFC to me. She prob still goes out an hits the bar scene if you could run into her while you were out that would be your best bet.
