what exactly is a good peacocking item?

i am gonna try to peacock some earrings(two diamond studs and one ring in the cartilage)this weekend, would this be good peacocking?

Better than nothing. The idea of peacocking is to attract attention in any way possible. If they're real diamond studs then, depending on the size, they would definitely get some people's attention. Plus nice/expensive jewelry is a DHV.

Peacocking is just what it sounds like, wearing bright, shiny, fantastic, out of the ordinary, random stuff that will catch people's attention. This can be anything from a bright red tie with shiny blue stripes, to a standard fedora, to neon orange laces. Earrings and can be considered peacocking, but are really just your standard accessories unless they are really attention grabbing. Anything that catches someones attention really well is peacocking. Also, use the search function, as this question has been dealt with dozens of times.
