Ok this is getting rediculous guys, It takes me alot of time to build up enough curouge to open. So I don't go in on 3secs more like 8-10s. So just as I'm about to do my approach she brings out her mobile and starts dialing on it ect.
Now if I try to open on her, Im sure she'll think im a nuasance and wont really hear anything I say. Now then I gotto keep walking so I don't end up looking like I'm following her.
If I stop and wait around for her to finish I'm going to look really weird or creepy. Plus they tend to walk really slowly or stand still when their on their mobiles. So um what do I do? This has happened to me like 3 times and it has caused me to fail to open cos they brought out there mobiles right at the last second before the opener.
I tried walking behind untill they get off there mobiles but sometimes they tend to turn a bit and see you or if you walk really slowly and your not on your mobile yourself everyones gonna know that your following her. Ive lost 3x 1 sets to the mobile. One just today at the Mall.
What advice can you guys give me? to overcome the mobile problem? its driving me nuts. |

YA i know what you mean. this is what you do pull out your cell phone and walk next to her and pretend like your talking to someone and say loud enough so she can heard "Yea there's this really cute girl next to me but she's on her phone so i cant talk to her how rude!" haha or you could say "yea this girl next to me on her phone just tottally checked my ass out!"
somthing like that.  |

Lol good idea but wont it seem obvious what your upto if you pull out your mobile too and walk right next to her? you just know theres people watching (especially at the mall!). I can just about overcome my AA but If I know theres alot of people watching then uh..I get pretty scared  .
And my main concern is whatever you say witty or otherwise she would be too distracted to hear. Even if she heard me say 'I'm waiting for the girl to get off her phone so I can talk to her) she might find me funny or just wonder what the heck I'm on about, but most likly she isnt going to stop talking to her mobile midway, Which still doesn't solve how I would open or what kind of excuse can I use to lurk around and wait for her to finish without looking like a stalker? |

if i were u, stick to the 3-second rule.
once u spend too much time on "building" ur confidence, it means u don have any.
just break through, u won't even have to think of any shit.
and about them on mobiles~
easy, break it like this: "hey excuse me, do u know where i can make a phone call? i know it'd be rude to borrow urs, but im not from here, n i have to make an emergency phone call."
if they tell u where,
u go: "but im not around here, u have to bring me to the phone booth, or please let me borrow ur phone"

first of all: dont violate the 3 second rule, better to make it a 1 second rule.
if you stare longer than 3 seconds and then approach: she will always think you are a creep
(maybe she grabbed her phone just to get rid of a creep, but who knows)

2nd of all: dont try to interrupt her when she's on the phone, let her finish her conversation first, but leave her and dont follow her meanwhile (and dont stare also, dont even look at her).
say something to her later.

an idea (i have done this sometimes), grab your cell phone too and really call some friend (dont pretend, because its weird). usually you can call in the same area as her, because usually she will walk to a quiet area. and its normal that 2 callers stay around in the same area. while you are talking to your friend, turn your back to her for a while (so she can check you out without feeling guilty and knows you are not needy), after that (while you are talking on the phone) try to make some non-needy eye-contact and smile to her in a way: we are both in the same situation "calling". (like how funny, we have something in common, to create a bond).
And when she stops calling, you drop your call at the same time (explain your friend later), make sure you say "ok bye / cu" or else she'll think you are faking the call (also nicer for your friend).
you should have listened to her phone conversation meanwhile, so you can comment something C&F about her conversation now.
then go into validation (are you adventurous? > no? you are going for the nice girl angel image? i dont believe you. yes? oh i see, you are a bad girl, do you have imagination > the cube) say that its a shame you are in a hurry now, because her personality (which you got from the cube) is really interesting, but you have to run now, turn your back and then say over your shoulder: you know what, lets exchange numbers and talk some other time together on the phone

| btw dont take the other replies serious, their advice sucks. Only the advice of Majishion is good, you could say something C&F to your friend on the phone about the girl in a loud way. but make sure you dont insult her or she'll run even more. haha |

I take longer then the 3s because I wanna check for a few things, like what mood is she in? and how is she walking? this lets me see if she's in a hurry or not. I also like to make sure if theres any obstacales around and if she is with anyone who maybe nearby. Hmm theres alot of things to consider lol.
The main problem would be they won't likly be listening to your opener, and once I ask her where the nearest phone booth is wouldnt I be expected to go there after I'm done asking? especially if I say emergency call? |

Yeah Majishion's line would be really guttsy for me I don't know if I would even dare to say that. Doesn't one of the rules say not to show interest though untill youve built up some comfort and maybe some DHV?
Man I'm still thinking bout her, cos she was wondering around looking bored and wasn't smiling at all. She was dressed in a tracksuit with no pretense of peococking whatsoever. I later thought maybe she just came out of volley ball pratice or badminton maybe. But she was alone wouldnt you be with someone if you just left sport pratcice?
Anyway she did 2 circuits on the top of the mall, she wasn't really interested in anything and just look bored.I thought 'bored girl with nothing to do and no obstacles, ok this looks really good, I'm going in' I was just 2s from catching up to her and Bam out comes the phone. Arggh, she see's me and I gotto pretend I was happening to walk past.
Such a good chance gone just like that, doh. |
