Alright, FIRST things FIRST: Don't read this if you don't like long posts!
I'm PREEETTY sure I'm in the LJBF zone with this gir.l (shux) AND she has BF (long distant but SHUX)
So yah, I'm friends with this girl (though I wish i wasn't in the LJBF zone, but I haven't expressed that to her in anyway). I figured I'd try something different in the given situation, so lately I've been slightly colder (Doesn't mean im COLD, just means im LESS WARM) towards her. Ie: When she asks whether we should study on ______(fill in a day on a week), I'd say "I'll think about it" and joke around...
her: what is there to think about, don't you want to study with me?
me: Im sorry, i found another girl (jokingly)
Speaking of joking, i've been joking around alot more... often the jokes are sexually oriented (hahaha), sometimes involving her and her bf, sometimes involving her and me...then she'd say im being mean whenever i make a joke, haha.
Anyway, just today she came online and msged me about her computer virus problem and how she missed me cuz i didn't go to classes today. So i responded to her virus thing, but i didn't say anything about her missing me, so she said "oh great response to 'I missed you today' ". So i said I'll kill 2 birds with one stone and made a joke:
"Don't watch porn! it gives you viruses! Btw, why watch porn when you have me?  "
Anyway, so she said i was being mean and said she g2g and left.
Then 15 minute later, she called me:
hb: Are you okay?
yes
hb: are you sure you're okay?
yes
hb: if there is something wrong, tell me okay?
err, I'm fine, why you saying this?
hb: I don't know, you seem... weird
how am i weird? you're weird! (jokingly)
hb: I don't know, you're different
How am i different?
hb: you seem less happy to see me
somepoint around here i realized she sounded REALLY down and MIGHT have cried
me: alright, ill be happy to see you then
hb: but i don't want you to force it
well, i AM happy to see you
hb: alright..... cuz you know, i actually like hanging around you and stuff
oh...
hb: you know you can tell me anything right?
right
hb: okay?
yah okay, but are you okay? you sound really......blue
hb: im okay....
balblal, i asked how she was doing with hmk (She has paper due on friday and we have 2x the assignments this week as a result of easter)
anyway, that was the end
My question is: WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT ABOUT!? sorry, i know this is not councelling service, but WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT ABOUT? Any thoughts?
Anyway, if the same convo up comes up again, is there something I should say? (btw I AM interested in this girl, but shes always a very valuable friend to me) |

Woah. That's intense...lol
Remember, relationships fuck with friendships, and your obviously great friends with her.
Just keep it light, ease up a little on the sex jokes if shes crying over them. Do some light boyfriend destroyers and flirt with her friends a little.
This is a touchy subject, so make sure your calibrating well. |
