I was at a restaurant with 4 friends and there were 4 girls sitting at a table near mine.
I asked the waitress to send 4 shots of water to their table.
My plan was after they found out I wasn't an AFC buying them a drink, I would go bust on them saying "looks like you have had enough to drink" or "I'm just trying to keep you hydrated for tomorrow's hang over". Then once I got a laugh I was going to follow up with a usual "I need a female perspective...".
The problem was the waitress ended up to be friends with the 4 girls and for some reason thought I was really trying to offend them so she wouldn't do it. Looking back I could have just assured her it was a harmless joke, but I never foresaw possible resistance..
Anyways what do you guys think would it have gone over, any flaws? |

I'm laughing my ass off thinking about using that in the field the next time I'm out somewhere and see some girls drinking. Maybe you should slip the waitress bartender a few bucks to play along with the joke next time. Sounds like a descent opener, starts off looking like AFC but the DHV spike when they realize they've been had with water!
You just had a bit of bad luck being that the bartender was a friend of there's. Probably just proctecting them from you.  |
