before you try to talk with any girl in facebook she need to accept your request as a friend well at least that what has worked for me, I send I request if she accepts then it gives me more leverage to try to start a conversation..
one good opener I use all the time is "thanks for accepting my request" 8 of 10 girls would reply back your message, then is your chance to start chatting with them....if the girls don't respond to your message is unlikely she will chat with you later.

Once you're friends with them, do not like, comment or ANYTHING on one of the sexy pictures she puts up with 500 men liking and saying "beautiful xoxoxox." None of that qualifying for looks stuff.

Comment on anything she posts that is not a looks related thing. If she's interested, often she'll reply and tag you in the reply. Once she responds to what you say, continue the conversation in the private messages box. After 3 or 4 messages back and forth, get her number to talk more about what you were talking about. Spend a few minutes on the phone or texting then ask her out.

Really good advice, it gives me at least one subject to discuss and answer if she's even interested in talking with me. It looks like this way has greater success rate than hi, whats up or dick pic(does this one ever works?) They accept 85% of time so it's not problem. About your method, countless times happened while hanging out with girls and they receive message from someone they don't know, it just gets ignored and never opened. Some even show chat which is full of unopened messages, they don't even check profile.

3. Purchase a pair of nice, non-faded clothing.
4. Go to a bar every night.
5. Approach women, and ask them out.

That works for random girls, I don't know where will selected girls be at given moment so Facebook is optimal in this case.
