I've to date tried about 6 times to deliver an opener but I repeatedly cannot do it. My openers aren't failing to start a conversation. I'm failing to walk up and say,"Hi, I have a question for you...". My goal is to incrementally do harder steps according to a field mission list in a book by Style. While I don't have a good history of picking target rich environments to go I simply pass up every target unable/unwilling to even attempt an opener. I'm usually out with my 2 year old and my 4 year old and can now "open" a target if/when my kids talk with her successfully but it's not the same as me deliberately opening a set. My targets are typically solitary and therefore fairly approachable. I can easily say Hi and regularly speak a few lines with attractive women who pass by, it just seems to be that I cannot deliver an opener. I'm getting very frustrated and don't know how to handle it. I've been trying to get myself to deliver an opener for several weeks now and have tried about twice a week. I'm getting desperate here. I cannot move on as I'm not able to depend fully on my kids opening the target of my choice. Can anybody please give me any advice, tips, or suggestions?

From what I can gather, your game is natural/direct. With any smart woman, a hi+any situational/observational opener can work really well. When you're not really confident in terms of approaching, using a pickup line can make you come off as seriously under-confident and can kill your chances right away.

Actually no. I'm trying to use indirect openers. Really I need to learn to open with an indirect opener. If I say Hi and get 60 seconds of conversation it so far has always been a situational opener.

So its yes - you are better with natural/situational openers. The bolded part states exactly that. Why would you want to use indirect if you are better with natural. Natural>indirect.

thats alright keep practicing , Try to use opinon opener because she would be glad to stand up and tell you her opinion .

And keep trying , practice is always good youll gain experince , and try to learn from your mistakes
