Hi, i was wondering, when you guys go out and sarge in bars, do you have drinks everytime or attack sober?
i figure that if i am to get in bars several times a week for a few years, perhaps drinking everytime is not such a good idea, but its kinda hard to avoid.
what do you guys do?
thanks! |

| Drink a few drinks but don't get drunk. You'll mess your game up. I look at drinks like a prop. |

People say that it is best not to drink, because then you can have a clear mind, however, I always like to have a drink or two when I am out as it helps you loosen up and enjoy yourself that bit more. |

| Have some drinks but do not open a set with it in your hand. Finish it or leave it at the table. |

| I always have a few to loosen up, makes me more social and funnier I think, plus I think it gives me a lil bit more stamina in the bedroom than when I'm sober... but I definately don't get drunk, the machinery has to work to close... |

I used to drink heavily as an AFC beleiving that it made me more intresting, have less inhabitions, and generally have more fun.
Now i realize i used to drink to make other people intresting and fun, and that to really get over my inhabitions on a long term basis i needed to have a clear head.
Now when i go out i make it a personal rule not to buy myself any drinks, i only drink if i can get a girl to buy me one. Instead i order seltzer water, looks the same as holding any other drink and usually its free .
I've found it a million times easier to observe both external social interactions (between people im not involved with) and also internal social interactions (with people im directly interacting with). I also find myself able to process the information i take in, adapt on the fly, and later really look back and make changes. When i used to drink i would just wake up with a head ache and if i was lucky some memories...
IMO at least til my game becomes natural i will not drink on my own accord, i think the terms i setup for myself to have a drink reward me for the effort i put into sargeing, and thus add incentive to help me overcome my insecurities and inhabitions.
Hope this helps. |

Exactly, if your walking around talking to women with no form of drink in your hand, then it looks like your just there to pick-up women... we don't want added bitch sheilds if they can be avoided.
I usually have about 2 drinks in the course of an evening when I'm going to be sarging. |

And if you walk around with a drink in your hand talking to women, you look like every other AFC there.
It makes some people feel comfortable to have things in their hand. I think it is more of a hinderence.
As a frame of referrence, durring the show (VH1), none of them had a drink in their hand ever. |
