| Note: This is not a field report though the first few paragraphs may seem like it.
Just to set the scene and give a quick visual, the literal underground venue was a pretty decent sized one story night club on a college campus. In the center of the dancefloor was a rather small platform with verticle bars (kind of like a cage) where girls seemed to gather and dance. There are a few tables / bar stools near the actual bar and this is where my friends and I were located.
Anyways...
I was out with some friends at a popular night club on campus, when a girl I have meet a few times showed up with one of her friends. She saw me and quickly came over. She introduced her friend to my group and after a few minutes they proceeded to get a few drinks and wander off. We'll call her friend Megan for the sake of this.
Later during the night, Megan found me near the dance floor and made small talk. She turned out to by quite annoying and from then on she kept following me around. She wouldn't leave me alone, but I didn't want to be rude.
We ended up dancing for a bit, much against my will haha. As I was dancing with her, I pulled her in close seeming like I was into it. Meanwhile, I made eye contact with another girl not too far from me. This girl, who was with a group of other girls, danced her way towards me. When she got near, she held out her hand and pulled me away from Megan. When the song was over, the new girl (we'll call Karly) began talking to me. Karly said that she could tell by my body language and facial expression that I wanted out. I told her how this girl had been following me around all night and she retorted by saying that she always has guys that do that to her. After teasing her about being Little Ms. Popular, I told her to follow me.
I took her to my group of friends and filled up an empty cup for her with a pitcher we had just bought at the bar. I handed it to her saying it was the least I could do and it was game on.
After getting her number and leaving the club some time later, it got me thinking... what if I tried this again, but it was all intentional? Of couse, the only way to find out would be to do it - and I did just that.

I talked to one of my close female friends about trying this out and this is what we did.
We went to the same club a few days later with some friends of ours. Her and I proceeded to the dance floor midway through the night. While dancing with her, I glanced around near by groups until I found a girl I wanted to game. When I made eye contact with this girl, I pulled my pivot in close and held eye contact with the new girl. I mouthed the words "help me" to her and used my eyes to emphasize.
Without hesitation, the new girl proceeded to come over and dance with me as well. Knowing what was up, my pivot "backed off". I finished dancing with the new girl and did exactly what I did last time.
Later on I found out my pivot then went near the bar and complained to a guy of her choice about how I "blew her off" on the dance floor. Feeling bad for her, the guy bought her a drink and danced with her.
Mission accomplished. Both my pivot and I got good results. My pivot got a free drink and a guy out of it. I did my thing and pulled this girl's number.

Now usually I do not use things like this. I don't like routines or whatever else. This happened naturally, and then it was tried in a forced way... worked both times in my favor.
I understand it won't work for everyone and I don't expect it to. Yes, there are flaws in it. What it does do, in some respect, is show preselection (dancing with another girl), and social value (taking her over to a group of friends). I'm sure someone will find some DLV in it or whatever the case may be, but it worked.
