This works best at a bar / lounge. Walk up to a girl very seductively, with head high and lots of eye contact, anything to build anticipation... then you say in your suavest voice:

"Have you taken Jesus Christ as your personal lord and savior?"

If you do it right, her and her friends will lose their shit. But you've gotta keep a straight face until she tells you she's not religious, or whatever.

Then suddenly you break character and say, "Oh thank God. I hate girls who are Bible thumpers; they never put out," or whatever. You can take it from there in a million different directions.

With one line you've not only broken the ice, but you've demonstrated that you have confidence and a sense of humor.

(Sorry to the Christians on the board who might find this post offensive -- if it's any comfort, I'm just trying to be a good Samaritan to guys who want some action.)

I'm glad you guys like it. The reason it works is that it's a bold and spontaneous thing, to walk up to strangers and make this joke. Also, it creates an air of mystery, because they thought you were one kind of guy based on your appearance, then the Christ line made them think you were a totally different guy... and once the joke is revealed, they're not quite sure who you are -- except that you're bold and funny and spontaneous. You have created a great deal of curiosity; she's dying to know your true self. Just be sure to peel back your layers slowly.

Finally, the line creates tension (Is this one of those Jesus freaks? How do I/we get out of this politely?), and the punchline releases that tension, which is a big emotional swing in the course of 5-10 seconds. On a subconscious level, women are very impressed with a man who can make them feel strong emotions in the first moments he talks to them.

Also, there's not really any way to get rejected, per se, because the rejection is part of what makes it work. She says, "No, I'm not interested" and you say, "Good, because I think you're kind of cute. I just wanted to make sure you weren't a Jesus freak. I'm Tim."

You come off as a fearless, self-amusing guy.

I should mention that it works best with multiple women, as opposed to a lone girl or a mixed set.
