Hi guys,
I'm now reading Mystery Method, I've known of this book for a while now. But when a friend gave me some episodes of The Pickup Artist on VH1, my interest in this book increased and I decided to order it.
I'm a newbie you could say, haven't picked up a woman for a while now. Actually those few times I did do so, I was so pissed I can't remember to much of it, only to wake up in someone's bed I really had no feelings for. Not even attraction.
I'm just like so many guys, who have no clue how to approach a woman (beginning to get a clue) the ones who slap themselves every night after going out saying "Why didn't you try??"
Anyway, I'm not jumping in the game just yet, there's few things I should "train" on first, my voice, pronouncation etc... For now I'm just trying to read signals, studying social behaviour. By reading that book I'm more receptive to to signals.
Today I think I observed a proximity IOI in the trainstation. As I was sitting on a bench waiting for my bus a girl came to sit next to me, one seat inbetween, while there was obviously enough room elsewhere. She faced slightly away from me. After just a minute I got up to catch the bus. As I walked out of the trainstation I saw my bus hadn't arrived yet, it was late. So I promptly turned around to go back inside, where its warm. On doing so, walking back in that same girl was walking out. (so it got me thinking, why would she come sit next to me for not even a minute and then go outside just seconds behind me?). As I was inside again, looking out to see when my bus arrives I saw here looking over her shoulder and dissapearing in the crowd. Not a minute later my bus arrived and I got on it. I hope that I grow the balls to go to that girl and find out if my suspicions are true.
I love to learn more from you guys, and on my turn in the future help others like me.

Awesome man! Welcome, to the forum and the community. I'm glad to see you are taking the smarter approach of taking your time to learn, and become more socially aware before jumping in the deep end of the pool. So many new PUA's decide to just sink or swim it! We all fail before we succeed but you are taking the right approach.
Take your time, and start off with what you are comfortable with. Read the Mystery Method Book. Get comfortable with the terms. Re-read A1 and A2 then do some small openings. Run a few openers and eject from the sets. Get use to surpressing the Approach Anxiety and then when you're good with that then work on A2.

I would say go for the pratical approach myself. I personally think it is good practice to get rejected when you start off, it builds you stronger for next time and after a while, you just don't give a shit and the less you care the better the gaming results would be.
Also man, use the three second rule, don't stand there looking at a girl it freaks them out. Just approach straight away and ask for an opinion, but also act relaxed and natural. Be an actor, after all the pick-up is an art form, so see it as acting in a play or playing a musical instrument infront of a crowd. The more chilled out you are, the better the performance will be.
As well the longer you wait to talk to someone, the more it might freak them out.
Just think, f*ck it, the worst that can happen is to not approach. |
