The first thing we all did was have an intensive inner game workshop complete with "Rawberry" and "400 Babies!" This was great, it really got DJ and I pumped up and ready to go out. After discussing opening, and a few wing rules we made our way to cocawalk, a very target rich environment.

The first two set was opened by kino. They were seated so he made it a point to show us how to get down to the level of the ladies by kneeling. He went slightly over the shoulder while keeping has back straight and really established good rapport. His target was delivering a mind numbing barrage of IOI's but he ejected to tell DJ, Rye, and I what had happened. The entire time Rye was narrating the encounter.

While Kino was opening that set I opened up another three set sat near by. I opened with something like I'm new in town with my friends and where are the hot spots. They told me they didn't do anything, they had no idea, then I made my first mistake that Rye pointed out. I said, "Are you telling me that you guys are so boring that all you do is sit around and never do anything exciting?" BLAMO Blown out so fast my head could spin, they told me "Yeah, basically." Rye explained to me that I had created a yes ladder that was negative in every aspect. I should have said something more to the effect of "I'm sure you guys go out Salsa dancing, where is a good place for that around here?" Anything that gets them involved and interested without being too negative.

After this we split up, Kino and I, Rye and DJ. Rye and DJ went down to talk to the set that Kino had opened about what Kino had done right while I opened this single who was taking a picture and started talking to her about her camera. Then kino came over and did an incredible wing job, "Is he telling you a story? This man tells incredible stories, when he talks people just turn and listen" a whole bunch of great stuff. At this point I completely lock in with this HB8 with my back up against the wall and her facing me. I start to tell a story but she was about to sit down to eat with her friends. Still a great experience.

We all met up for a few minutes to discuss what we had done. Both Kino and Rye pointed out that my most serious problem was body language. Rye told me that I had a tendency to "peck" which is where I would lean in too much and show too much interest. Instead I need to lean back, and make my approaches more over the shoulder. I also started to implement the false takeaway, it's something I'm going to need a lot more practice with.

At this point I just started opening every set I could find. Rye and Kino were always nearby to wing, and then after I ejected they would provide a few pointers as to what I did right and what I did wrong. It seems I'm ejecting much too soon so a drill that Rye and Kino are going to have me do tonight is not eject until I'm forced to.

One of the most interesting sets of the night was one I opened with totally natural game. This woman was wearing a necklace and I told her how it looked great, just like one I saw at a kiosk downstairs, then I asked her where she got it. She told me her mom had given it to her as a new life path present or something so I called her the bad girl. Then I called the obstacle a good girl, how the bad girl was a bad influence etc etc all the while Rye was sitting on a bench nearby chatting with some guy. Rye makes his way over juggling and talking about needing a promoter and he starts to distract the obstacle while I start telling the target about how Rye loves to take out his balls and play with them. Someone the target and I start to talk about southpark, she hates it, then I switch to family guy, she loves it.

I burst into song, loud and very up and emotive, the song from Family guy and the target starts singing along with me. I get down on a knee for the finish and the target is eating it up but the obstacle is hard core there to ruin everyone's good time. Rye and I were being so smooth, our game was so solid I thought we were in like flint, but the obstacle busts out with, "You guys are just too smooth, too theatrical, too much of characters, do you just sit at home and script this stuff?" WTF! Totally natural game and she's calling us out!?!

Rye puts on a show as if he's really offended while I start telling the target about how all I do be myself and be the life of the party. We worked this set really hard, it was a good experience, but in the end they just weren't fun girls. We ejected and opened probably another 10 or 15 sets before sitting down to take a break.

At this point Kino was locked into a two set and Rye sent DJ in to wing. Rye was telling me to notice how relaxed and comfortable was and was showing me what DJ was doing wrong with his body language (The major focus of the night for me was body language). Since I tend to over gesture he was showing me the purposeful gestures as well as some subtle mirroring the girls were doing of each other.

I could go on for hours with all the points we talked about (NLP, David Shade, MM, Shock and Awe, etc etc...) but I've got to wrap this up! Kino ended up with two or three #closes most as just examples to us students as to how things should be done.

All and all the first day and night of this workshop has gone AWESOME! I really feel this huge surge of confidence and the energy that Rye brings is huge! I really feel like Rye and Kino have solid game (I've seen it!) and they have a ton to teach. They are very patient but they sure as shit push to make you get out there. I can't wait to see what happens today, will post more FR's soon!

Rye & Kino are two of my good friends on the forum. I've personally had the joy of winging Kino. When I heard about the Miami workshop I tried like heck to go. Sounds like you've learned a lot and come a long way.

Have fun tonight!
