I'm having trouble identifying whenever I've made a 'connection' with a girl. Ideally, you should both be feeling it at the same time (this way its easier to kiss close). But I don't make those connections like I used to whenever I was AFC. Does anybody else have this problem?

I'm just thinking whenever I was talking to this 18 year old girl, I was asking her things like "What are you going to do with the rest of your life" type questions (you know what i mean, about the same questions you ask yourself when your 18). But i've already been through that stage, i've already seen people go through that stage, so it's hard to for ME to make a connection with her to move on. Is this whenever you solely rely off of learned IOI's? I KNOW she's attracted to me, but I can't make any sort of move till I get out of comfort, it feels wierd for me. Does anybody have this problem?
