ok ill try and keep this one short:
i was with this one girl for ages and develped serious one-itus then we broke up. its been a few months and ive been out of the game and i joined up to this forum for tips on getting back in the game. anyway i was out last night and saw a girl i really liked the look of. started talking to her and ended up chatting for a couple of hours. ive got a mate who knew her and he said id be better off playing it cool and not asking for her number and try and make her laugh as much as possible. i know that she drinks in the same pub as i do so i will see her again soon. basically im asking for any advice you may have for me on how i can get this girl. |

Throughout this conversation, did you make sure to get her attracted to you before you demonstrated that you were attracted to her?

Ultimately you have to go with what you feel is the right thing to do, even if it means asking for her number. How well does your homie know the girl? If they are anything from acquittances to friends, this increases the propinquity between the two of you, which is a definite advantage.

Until we know how the first conversation went, and around what phase you are in, any advice will be broad and little-to-no help. However, kino escalation is a must, no matter where you are with the girl. If you haven't, started as soon as possible. |

no, im afraid i failed on that front, i was more trying to build any sort of rapport and stop the convo from dying.

ve actually got a couple of mates who know her and are pretty good friends with her so that should work in my favour

thinking about it now it was a pretty poor first conversation in that i used few negs, didnt make sure she was attracted but it was a pleasant enough basic getting to know someone conversation: where do u work what do u study etc. oh and there was definate kino.
hopefully this will better explain it. thanks for the reply buddy |

Hobbit's advice is right on. I do want to add a point for future reference, with this or any other girl. Regarding what I've put in bold above. ANYTIME you're vibing with a girl, you need to number close. If you have any interest in her at all, and you two are vibing, she won't care to give you her number, REGARDLESS of how hard someone ELSE thinks she is to number close. |

From reading your posts it may not be likely, but dont rule out that this guy may like this girl, so he is giving you bad advice because of this. Their will always be people who want to mess things up for you.
It happens more often than you might think, thats why i never ask anyone for advice, because i know that they might be jelous or dont want me to get the girl and their advice would (and usually is) probly be pretty useless anyway. |

Just always keep that in mind, whether it be your best friend, a guy you have known for years, or a female friend. I've had it happen to me many times, where people have been against me, needless to say these people are no longer my friends.
But people may actually be trying to help you out, but usually that advice is AFC, and not what you should be doing. |
