I think thats more sarcasm... Give it a go and see if it works.
It doesn't invoke a conversation, and will probably put you in the wrong frame from the start.
Would it make you laugh, if it doesn't, i think you should change it to something different. |

Doesn't seem like a neg, seems insulting.
I'm a music freak. You want to impress her put a lesser known song by one of her top bands as your profile song then msg her and don't mention anything about the fact that she likes em. |

I agree....Terriable opener. Just bust on her for her boring taste in music....dont make it instulting...just funny...example: "Wow, cool...Your a celine dion fan too?? My grandma loves her" OR "You listen to britney spears?? thats soo cool, you would get along GREAT with my 7 year old neice"
Any comments on my post...plz let me know, but i think that kind of an opener would work extreamly better
