Well, I started rolling my own cigs and in the beginning I absolutely sucked but the more I rolled the better I've gotten and still even to this day, I fail at rolling some but I've succeeded the more I've practiced.

This pertains to pickup because you may suck in the beginning, but the more you practice talking to girls, the better you'll be. All it takes is practice and the willingness to fail to get better. I can infuse this with rolling because the sometimes I've rolled some pretty good ones but other times not so good......this can be related because sometimes, after practicing a lot, you're gonna get awesome at it but you're still gonna fail at times.....
