I never request friends on Myspace, but I select my target and message her the following.

It doesn't take long to get get the "Friend Request" and "Message" asking why you think she isn't your type?
If you get that same question, it shows that your target has already qualified you as her type and is now showing interests.

I think you're absolutely right! It does come off as a solid opening, but after looking deeper, just this part of the opening...

How bout, "Even though you don't look like my type, the fact that you're (enter compliment about personality here, aka - ambitious, goal oriented, family values,whatever) is a sight for sore eyes."
Some thing of that nature. I've gotten replies back and even ended up # closing and goin out to a concert next month. Best of luck! |
