So I just started at the Uni in January (graduated HS early) and I didn't know anyone. Here. I was miserable for a bit, and every time I'd try to go out and make friends or sarge, I was met by this incredible "bitch shield", but it was from EVERYONE. People here just aren't as friendly as they were back home. So long story short, I ended up at a bunch of frat parties.
I started having loads of fun, and PU at a frat party is incredibly easy. My confidence is through the roof, i've made some friends, overall, life is great.
But I'm at this point where I'm not sure if I want to join or not. I tend to feel like this at varying intervals in my life (clinical depression), and I'm hoping this is just another one of those stages, but I can't really be sure till it's over. I get mixed thoughts from most people I talk to, so I thought it couldn't hurt to ask around here.
What are your thoughts on joining a fraternity? |

| A frat is easy social proof at any university. Plus you will make a lot of friends. |

I say go for it! I moved to a different state for college so I was a long way away from family and friends. I didn't know a single person, so I joined a sorority and it was the best decision!
Fraternities have mixers with sororities all the time, so you meet tons of girls... During homecoming you get a "partner" (a girl) to hang out with... And fraternities are involved on campus and in the community.... So it keeps you busy and gives you an instant group of friends, plus tons of parties!
